The Australian Wine Board has announced the cancellation of this year's largest annual Australian Wine Tasting Roadshow, with the next roadshow to be held in May 2021.

Due to the global outbreak of the New Crown Pneumonia outbreak, the Wine Australia 2020 China Roadshow event scheduled for May has had to be cancelled due to international travel restrictions and quarantine requirements. The organizers are in the process of refunding the event fee to all exhibitors.
Now in its 9th year, the Wine Australia China Roadshow is one of the most important industry events to showcase some of Australia"s best wines and stimulate growth in wine export sales. The Wine Australia China Roadshow covers four cities in China, Nanjing, Qingdao, Xiamen and Guangzhou.
Over the past few years, thanks to the support of the Australian Government's A$50 million Export and Regional Wine Assistance Program, Australia has made significant investments in China and has now overtaken France as the country with the highest value of wine imports into China.
Australian wine exports to China (including Hong Kong and Macau) reached a record A$1.13 billion in the year to September 2019, up 18% year-on-year. Total Australian wine exports grew by 7% to A$2.89 billion, with China accounting for a large share of the market.
