Napa Valley's Opus One Winery has announced the appointment of Christopher Lynch to replace David Pearson in his new role as Chief Executive Officer.

Lynch succeeded Pearson as CEO of Château de l"Opéra 1 effective September 22. He has more than 30 years of experience in marketing, commercial operations, strategic planning, business development and general management, having worked at Château Carruades, LVMH's Château Chantilly, Pernod Ricard, Château Petrus and Terlato Wine Group.
Lynch says: I first developed a passion for wine early in my career when I was living in France and playing professional basketball.
From the very beginning, I have viewed Chateau Opus One as a premier luxury wine. I am honored to have been selected as the next CEO of this iconic wine brand and look forward to working with the team at Opus One Winery to continue to build on the legacy and vision of its co-founders, Baron Philippe and Robert Mondavi.
Château Opus 1 was created in 1979 by Baron Philippe and Robert Mondavi. The American Constellation Group acquired Château Mondavi in 2004 and established a 50/50 partnership with the Baron Philippe de Rothschild Group
