The three aforementioned appellation associations will officially merge next year to form the Consorzio Tutela Lambrusco (Consortium for the Protection of the Lambrusco Wine Region). Lambrusco is one of the representative wines of Italy and the merger of the three related appellation associations will be mutually beneficial, increasing the international presence of Lambrusco wines.
This new Blue Brusco wine region will have a total annual production of 13,000 tons of grapes, most of which will be Blue Brusco grapes.
