Mercantia Desarrollos Alimentarios, a food company based in the autonomous region of Galicia, Spain, is developing a number of interesting and innovative products. One of the most striking is the production of personalized non-alcoholic wine drinks through the genes of each customer.

To realize this idea, they analyzed consumers" saliva to observe the genetic fragments associated with vitamin uptake in it, and then added different measures of the vitamin to the wine drink based on the genes detected.
At the same time they are producing wines that they want to enhance the antioxidant function of the wine. The innovation program is based on the field of nutritional genetics, spreading the idea of healthy eating and safe eating by creating foods that can improve people's quality of life.
