Spanish company develops new technology to save on fermentation costs during wine production

The Spanish Andalusian biotech startup Cultiply has developed a new technology that focuses on providing favorable physical and nutritional conditions for yeast through a smart device that allows wine and beer to save up to 90 percent of fermentation costs in production.

We provide the ideal environment for the desired microorganisms to multiply quickly and efficiently, thus ensuring their tenacity and making them more potent in the fermentation of the must," said Javier Via, CEO of Cultiply.

The smart system also improves the safety of the fermentation process, and these smart devices can be easily installed in wineries to automatically adjust the fermentation volume according to the needs of the production. Recently, Cultiply is seeking to enter into their first commercial partnership with a winery in the Castilla-La Mancha region.
