In an official statement, the Spanish appellation D.O. Navarra recently mentioned that it sold approximately 4 million liters of wine in July, 62% of which were red wines, an increase of 16% compared to the same period in previous years.

These figures mean that the July 2020 sales are considered a milestone in the marketing statistics of the Navarra appellation within the last five years.
Officials noted that even though the hotel industry had limited opening hours and a significant reduction in the number of vacationers this summer due to the epidemic in 2020, sales in Spain increased by more than 33%. As seen in the cumulative data from January to July of this year, sales have continued to decline since January, with the summer sales growth making up for the earlier losses.
By July, the Navarra appellation had sold more than 17 million liters of wine, meeting the previous expectations of the Appellation Regulatory Board.
