According to The Drink Business, a new report from the Wine Institute of South Africa shows that exports of premium and ultra-premium wines from the Western Cape are set to grow significantly in 2020.

Total exports of South African wine grew by 7.7 percent last year to more than 9 billion rand (about $3.97 billion), according to the data.
Countries showing positive export growth included the UK (28%), the Netherlands (19%), the US (12%) and Sweden (17%). In addition, demand for the Cape"s iconic grape varieties Chenin Blanc and Pinotage rose, by 13% and 12% respectively.
