In response to the epidemic and to facilitate the relaunch of the industry, the Consorzio di Tutela Barolo e Barbaresco Alba Langhe Dogliani (Barolo, Barbaresco, Alba, Langhe and Dogliani Wine Region Association) has signed a credit agreement with Intesa Sanpaolo (Italy). The agreement allows the more than 500 member wineries and wine companies of the association to take out revolving collateral secured by wine.

In addition to this, these wineries have access to specific funds to purchase land, replant vineyards and make related investments.
This is another appellation-level initiative to help restore wine production through financial financing, following the Chinati Classico and Brunello di Montalcino appellations in the Tuscany region.
