Professor Yulin Fang of the Wine Academy visits the University of Burgundy Wine School

On April 6th and 11th, Prof. Yulin FANG from the School of Wine was invited by Mr. Jean-Marie AURAND, Director General of the International Vine and Wine Organization (OIV), Mr. Luis Carlos Ferreira Peres De Sousa, Chairman of the OIV Sub-Committee on Fresh Grapes and Raisins and Unfermented Grape Products, and Prof. Marielle ADRIAN, Dean of the University of Burgundy, to visit the headquarters of the OIV and the University of Burgundy. Mr. Luis Carlos Ferreira Peres De Sousa, Chairman of OIV Sub-Committee on Fresh Grapes and Raisins and Unfermented Grape Products, and Prof. Marielle ADRIAN, Dean of the University of Burgundy, France, were invited to visit the headquarters of OIV and the University of Burgundy for a six-day visit.

On the 6th, Fang Yulin attended the international meeting held by the International Grape and Wine Organization"s Fresh Grapes and Non-Fermented Grape Products Sub-Committee at the headquarters of the International Grape and Wine Organization. Representatives of relevant experts from France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal and other countries attended the meeting. The meeting focused on a number of topics such as the regulations related to dormancy breakage of grapes and the use of SO2 substitutes in fresh grape production, and also focused on the revision of important documents under the framework of the International Grape and Wine Organization. As a Chinese expert representative, Fang Yulin attended all sessions of the conference, introducing the characteristics and reality of China's grape industry and market, and giving a report on "Current Situation and Trends in the Development of China's Grape Industry".

During the conference, Mr. Fang Yulin met with the President of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV), researcher Monika Christmann from the Geisenheim Institute in Germany, and invited her to visit our university. At the same time, he also visited Mr. Jean-Marie AURAND, Director General of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV), to discuss matters related to his attendance at the 10th International Advanced Seminar on Vine and Wine hosted by the College, and to have a preliminary discussion on the feasibility of cooperation between OIV and the College in training Master of Wine.

On the 79th, accompanied by Jiang Tao, the visiting professor of the college, Fang Yulin visited two sub-appellations of the Rhône Valley appellation, two wineries of the Beaujolais appellation and the Burgundy appellation. He also visited the wine school of the University of Burgundy, where he introduced and exchanged information on the construction of the school, the current situation of the profession and its future development, etc. With regard to the cooperation in postgraduate training and research in vine and wine, Fang Yulin had a full communication with Professor Marielle Adrian and reached a preliminary cooperation intention. He also visited the alumni who are studying in Dijon School of Commerce and University of Burgundy Wine School.
