Reporter on September 23 from the Ningxia Helan Mountain East Foothills Grape Industry Park Management Committee was informed that the 27th International Wine Grand Prix of Brussels, Belgium, known as the Oscars of the wine industry, was officially released recently, with a total of 100 medals won by Chinese regions, and Ningxia region topped the list again, ranking first in China with 48 medals.

More than 300 international judges from nearly 50 countries and regions judged a total of 8,500 wines in a rigorous competition. China, as the main participating country, had 250 wines from 80 companies, covering 8 major wine regions, including the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains in Ningxia, Shandong, Xinjiang, Hebei, Jilin, Beijing, Shaanxi and Yunnan. At this year"s event, Chinese wines won a total of 100 medals, including 6 grand gold medals, 55 gold medals and 39 silver medals. Among them, the Ningxia region topped the Chinese medal list with 48 medals (4 Grand Golds, 26 Golds and 18 Silvers), and the wines from the Helan Mountain Eastern Foothills region also won the title of Best Wine of China 2020 CMB, which is a double win for the Ningxia region after the 2019 edition.
At this year's event, Great Wall Talent Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 from Ningxia's Helan Mountain East appellation became the 2020 Best Wine of China, earning the highest score for a wine entered in China.
