According to Decanter, researchers at the University of Adelaide have recently discovered a new technique that can quickly determine the origin of wine with 100% accuracy.

In addition to the method, which provides a fingerprint for wine by the presence of fluorescent or luminescent compounds in the sample, the technology has other applications in the wine industry, such as phenol and wine color analysis, and smoke contamination detection, according to the project leader.
