Cooper Thief Winery in Napa Valley has previously released a red blend aged in bourbon barrels that is a blend of 38% Merlot, 37% Syrah, 11% Zinfandel, 7% Petite Sirah and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon.
It was from the first red blend aged in bourbon barrels that Jeff Kasavan, head winemaker at Cooper Thief Winery in Napa Valley, was inspired to age his Sauvignon Blanc in agave barrels.
Aged for three months in agave oak barrels, this Sauvignon Blanc has a refreshing acidity and a more balanced citrus flavor with a hint of vanilla.
The Sauvignon Blanc wine currently has a suggested retail price of $29.99 per bottle.
