The newspaper "The Informer" reports that thanks to favorable weather conditions, the southern part of the country has experienced a bumper crop of grapes.

About 60 containers of grapes have been shipped to Cape Town, where they will be loaded for transshipment to the UK and other European countries.
Na is expected to export 7.5 million cases of grapes this year, after keeping exports at around 6.5 million cases in previous years.
Namibia has also seen significant changes in grape varieties in recent years, with some of the world"s popular and leading new varieties gradually replacing older ones, and grape exports are expected to grow by an average of 7% annually over the next five years.
