Matthew Landry becomes French Program Director for the Association of Wine Scholars

Matthew Landry, a sommelier from Vancouver, recently joined the Society of Wine Scholars as director of its French program.

As one of the world"s leading providers of wine certification programs, the Association of Wine Scholars specializes in wine certification programs in France, Italy and Spain to promote the professional development of members of the wine industry and wine students.

To support the organization's institutional growth and expansion, they recently announced the appointment of Matthew Landry as their new Director of French Programs.

Commenting on the appointment, Julien Camus, President of the Association of Wine Scholars, said: "We had more than 125 highly qualified candidates and Matthew stood out for his energy, creativity, understanding of wine and passion for all things French. We are now proud to have him as part of our team.

In his new role, Matthew will take over the institution's French program from Lisa M. Airey, director of education for the Association of Wine Scholars.

Matthew says:It's really a dream come true for me to join the Wine Scholars Association. I have been using the Wine Scholars Association program for many years. It is a leader in the education industry and its core values of making wine education easier, more enjoyable and more inclusive are very important to me.
