Jeb Dunnuck has found three wines with perfect potential, with Lafite Rothschild scoring highest. The Lafite 2019 was released last Friday at a 15 percent reduction from the 2018 UK opening price, and Dunnuck says the 2019 vintage is truly a superb Lafite, perhaps the best wine of the vintage. It reminds me of the 2016 vintage, but sexier and fuller.
Dunnuck commented that another Grand Cru Margaux, Margaux, was also flawless but not yet available. This wine also reminded him again of the 2016 vintage, a classic Margaux that ages well for 10 years and will last for more than 50 years.
The third wine with full score potential is the critically acclaimed Ducru Beaucaillou; Dunnuck commented that this is another fantastic wine from the estate.
Dunnuck appreciates the 2019 vintage in its entirety and believes: this vintage can definitely be included among the outstanding vintages of recent years (e.g. 2000, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2015, 2016 and 2018).
