Specific initiatives include: replacing synthetic fertilizers with organic biodegradable fertilizers, stopping the use of synthetic herbicides, establishing new phytosanitary regulations, focusing on biodiversity in vineyards, etc. to better achieve the goal of sustainable development.

The Autonomous Province of Alto Adige is the northernmost wine region in Italy and is known for its high quality white wines.
