The Consorzio Vini Alto Adige, Italy's northernmost autonomous province, in collaboration with numerous research institutions, has developed the Agendas Vini Alto Adige 2030 (Upper Adige Wine Plan 2030), which maps out the development ambitions for the next 10 years.

The plan contains five areas: Soil, Vineyard, Wine, Terroir and People, and briefly outlines the path of change to be taken in each area.
Specific initiatives include: replacing synthetic fertilizers with organic biodegradable fertilizers, stopping the use of synthetic herbicides, establishing new phytosanitary regulations, focusing on biodiversity in vineyards, etc. to better achieve the goal of sustainable development.
The Autonomous Province of Alto Adige is the northernmost wine region in Italy and is known for its high quality white wines.
