At the conference, a number of wine company representatives jointly called on the government to innovate economic interventions and increase EU OCM funding for Italian wine to help the recovery of the wine industry after the epidemic.
The UIV spokesperson stressed that OCM financial assistance will remain key to restarting the Italian wine industry after the epidemic, as EU OCM financial assistance has helped to double Italian wine exports in just six years.
