Data shows that during the epidemic blockade in March and April, the sales of supermarket private label wines (such as Coop, Conad, etc.) in Italy reached 11% of total Italian wine sales for the first time in the same period, which means that 1 out of every 10 bottles of wine sold in Italy during this period came from supermarket private labels.
Currently supermarket private label wines are mainly table wines (VDT), but supermarket private label DOP level wines are also receiving more and more attention. This means that there will be more competition in the price range of Italian domestic mid-range and premium wines.
