We are excited to bring our customers our new wines, beers and spirits featuring a range of well-loved local and international brands," said Matt Furlong, Amazon's Country Manager for Australia.
Customers can order their favorite wine, beer or spirits on Amazon.com, as well as other items, including home furnishings, fashion and beauty items, video games and books.
Furlong continues: Australian winemakers, distillers and wine makers make some of the world's best drinks, including organic wines and Curatif cocktails.
We are particularly excited to be working with local brands at launch to help them expand our business by reaching out to our customers, marketing tools and logistics expertise.
To prevent underage purchases of alcoholic beverages, Amazon has instituted a variety of precautions to ensure that alcoholic beverages are purchased and delivered appropriately.
To prevent people under the age of 18 from purchasing alcoholic beverages, customers are required to provide their date of birth at checkout and an age check is performed at the time of courier delivery.
