According to a statement from PFV, the fund and mentoring program will be available to family-owned businesses that are successful in sustainability, innovation, craftsmanship, and in passing on responsibility and commitment from generation to generation.
Marc Perrin and Paul Symington, presidents of the PFV Coalition, said:In a context of globalization and a rather frustrating uniformity that is becoming increasingly common, family businesses should embody the best values of social responsibility and the kinder human side of free enterprise.
By announcing this mentoring program at a time of international crisis caused by the coronavirus, we are emphasizing the long-term thinking of a family business and our inherent optimism for the future while defending the right values.
Applications for the 2020 PFV Awards can be made via the Group"s website starting July 1.
Finalists for the five family-owned companies will be announced in January 2021, and PFV winners will be announced in March 2021.
The jury will include one member of each of the 12 PFV wine families and is supported by PFV Secretary General Christophe Brunet.
