French government supports winegrowing with an additional 76 million euros

On August 5, local time, French Prime Minister Castel visited the central region of France and pledged nearly 80 million euros in additional financial support for the winegrowing industry to mitigate the impact of the epidemic and economic crisis on the sector.

It is reported that the additional funds are mainly used to help distill alcohol (56 million euros) and excess alcohol storage (20 million euros). The former aims to purify unsold spirits into alcohol that can be used to make bioethanol, perfume or alcoholic hand sanitizer.

The relevant Chinese agencies are also called upon to introduce relevant policies to provide more convenience for domestic wine producers.
