Located in Le Mesnil-Sur-Oger, in the heart of the French Massif Blanc, it was one of the first producers to start selling its own champagne from 1919.
In 2008, Rodolphe Pters, the sixth generation winemaker, took over the management of the estate from his father Franois and has been involved in the winemaking since 2000. He launched the company"s perpetual reserve reserve wine program in the late 1990s with minimal intervention in the winery.
Pters believes that a good winemaker must listen to his raw materials and trust the quality of the soil in the Côtes Blanc to bring a natural tension to his wines.
The estate has 82 plots with over 20 hectares of sustainably managed vineyards, 16 of which are located in the Côte des Blancs, mainly in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, where the soils range from limestone to silica.
