The highly anticipated Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) 2020 winners have been announced.

This is the world"s largest and most influential wine competition, with three rounds of tastings by top wine experts from around the world: first, the tasting experts will select the premium wines and award them the Gold Medal; in the final week of the competition, a panel of co-chairs will re-taste the previously awarded Gold Medal wines and select the Platinum Medal wines from them; and finally, on the final day of the competition, the co-chairs will On the final day of the competition, the Co-Chairs tasted all the Platinum wines again to select the best of the best wines of the year.
A total of 16,518 wines from all over the world participated in this year's competition, and a total of 50 wines were selected as the best wines of the year. Four Spanish wines were selected: VORS Oloroso and VORS Pedro Ximnez from Lustau, Ramn Valle Mencia 2018 from Peique, and Gran Muralles 2016 from Familia Torres.
