Former famous English cricketer Sir Ian Bosham has added a new Argentine Malbec to his wine and gin portfolio. Sir Ian Botham has recently added an Argentinean Malbec to his portfolio of wines and gins.

The new Signature range now includes a Malbec wine from Mendoza, along with an entry-level all-round range of Australian wines, priced between £5 and £7 per bottle.

When we started looking at Argentine wines, we realized there were some pretty incredible quantities and values out there that would be great for British consumers," he says.
In addition to Malbec wines, he mentioned Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and even Tempranillo, suggesting that over time the Signature line's range of wines may expand to include a wider range of grape varieties.
Sir Bosham himself has been looking at Malbec wines from Argentina. At his wine launch in 2018, he mentioned to WineBiz.com that Malbec is the focus of his preferred future wine range.
Since its launch, Sir Botham's line has expanded in other directions as well. In 2019, he partnered with Hush Heath to launch an English still and sparkling wine, and last year, a gin.
