Edouard Champagnes are now available for Champagne lovers to taste my carefully crafted Champagnes. The Duroy family acquired Edouard"s Honeymoon in the 1950s, and I took over the Honeymoon in 2000 and began making fine champagnes, which I am delighted to share with our customers in Greater China.
About Edouard Champagne
Edouard Champagne is made from 100% selected grapes from the Château de la Méridienne, an ancient estate founded around a thousand years ago in 1095 by the monks of the local Cluny Abbey in the southern part of Champagne, on the slopes of the Bar. As one of the few historic estates in Champagne that still make Champagne, Château de la Méridienne has a unique position in the region. The estate has 28 hectares of entire vineyards, sustainably farmed, and today all 28 hectares are certified as Champagne Sustainable Development (VDC).
With little human intervention, long cellar ageing and a low dosage of rehydration, Edouard Champagne can be said to express in its entirety the unique terroir of the Baltic and to live up to the vision of Edouard Champagne: in each bottle of Edouard Champagne, the cultural tradition of the Cluny Abbey wine that spans a thousand years.
