Chilean wine group VSPT aims to reduce the number and weight of bottles and packaging so that by 2030 it can achieve a program that is 100% separable, reusable, recyclable or compostable.

To address the global problem of waste generation, the company also plans to make 60 percent of its packaging materials from recyclable materials and not use PVC materials by 2030.
To encourage consumers to recycle VSPT Group"s wine bottles, the company will include recycling instructions on all of its wine labels.
A spokesperson for Chilean wine group VSPT said: "This new challenge is designed to build on the solid sustainability management already implemented by the organization. Our concrete and long-term solutions to environmental issues make the VSPT wine group a role model for the wine industry.
In order to qualify as an eco-designed product, manufacturers must meet minimum requirements related to energy efficiency.
Chilean wine group VSPT has long been a pioneer in environmental initiatives, and the company received the 2016 Beverage Industry Green Award and the 2018 Ethical Company Award, being named Green Company of the Year.
