The winery was founded in 1725 in Bordeaux and now exports its wines to some 130 countries worldwide. Chateau Battenkasten publishes the Word of Sommeliers book, which includes sommelier reviews of 32 top wines, ranging from Château Cranau to Chateau Battenkasten.
Philippe Marion, Deputy General Manager of Château Bardonnay Gastey, said: "This is a masterpiece in these challenging times and a testament to the close relationship between Château Bardonnay Gastey and the trade.
Over the years, Battenkastle Winery has developed a very close relationship with the Sommeliers Association, a key element of the wine industry. We have always had their support and we wanted to thank them by giving them exposure through this project," Marion said. In the end, the Sommelier Association is our best ambassador around the world.
The program includes reviews by top sommeliers from 29 different countries, including Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Latvia, India and Brazil. It includes three of the world's best sommeliers, five Master Sommeliers and teams from the ASI World's Best Sommeliers competition such as Arvid Rosengren from Sweden, Paolo Basso from Italy, Yuya Kondon from Japan, Oleg Kravchenko from Ukraine, Kai-Wen Lu from Taiwan, Thailand's Nutawan Jumpanak from Thailand, Maria Valeria Gamper from Argentina, Dervati Basumallick from India and Julia Scavo from Romania.
