Belgian brewer Budweiser acquired wine brand Babe in 2019, the company"s largest wine investment to date. Now, Babe is making its debut in the UK with Rose Sparkling Wine in a Sainsbury's supermarket.

A single 200ml tin of the wine is priced at £2.15. The other two wines in the range, a sparkling red and a Pinot Grigio sparkling wine, are not yet available across the Atlantic.

Wine brand Babe was founded in 2016 by brothers Ostrovsky and David and Tanner Cohen to simplify wine for consumers.

Driven by Ostrovsky's social media exposure, wine brand Babe has become one of the fastest growing canned wine brands in the United States.

The canned wine brand can be paired with any food and has hired supermodel Emily Ratajkowski as its chief taste officer.

Ostrovsky says: It's time we crossed the Atlantic and launched our sparkling wine in a Sainsbury's supermarket. The Brits will party, Babe will party, let's make some great memories.

Kendra Kuppin, UK regional product leader for the Babe wine brand, added: "We are delighted to be launching the new product in the Sainsbury's supermarket, Babe is an accessible, convenient wine product that says goodbye to the dullness and constrictions traditionally associated with wine.
