As of July 1, Khaida will be in charge of the Baron Rothschild Group"s wineries, including Château Mouton, Château Clamiren, Château Damayac and Château Arch Baron.
Khaida also serves on the boards of California's Opus One, Chile's Living Soul, and the Baron de Arch in the Languedoc.
Born into a non-winemaking family in the Champagne village of Rilly la Montagne, Khaida spent five years working for luxury giant LVMH, two of them as a buyer for Louis Vuitton leather, where she selected leather from all over the world.
In 2014, she became the first woman to head a major Bordeaux negotiator, running the Duclot Group, owned by the Moueix family.
As the manager of a top Bordeaux wine merchant, Khaida has demonstrated her energy, decision-making ability, forward-thinking skills and comprehensive knowledge of the wine world," said DBR Group.
In addition, Erick Tourbier, Mouton Rothschild's Technical Director, has been appointed Technical Advisor to the Chairman of the Board for winemaking, taking on a broader role in the winery and branded wines.
