In terms of vineyard health, vineyards throughout Italy are currently in good condition, with few outbreaks of macchia di leopardo nationwide, and only a few areas in the Trentino Alto-Adige region and Friuli Venezia Giulia Only isolated areas of Trentino Alto-Adige and Friuli Venezia Giulia suffered from peronospora, causing some damage, but the situation has been brought under control. In the Romagna, Tuscany and Abruzzo regions, powdery mildew (oidio) was present in some vineyards. The next month or so will be pivotal for the overall quality of this year"s harvest.
