Recently, the American wine website International Wine Report (IWR) released its TOP 100 WINES OF 2020 list.

Twelve Italian wines were included in this year"s Top 100, with three Italian wines in the top ten. The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino from CASANOVA DI NERI in Tuscany was ranked seventh, the highest ranked Italian wine on the list.
The 12 Italian wines selected for the 2020 IWR Global Top 100 list are all red wines, concentrated in well-known regions such as Brunello, Super Tuscany, Barolo and Barbaresco. The largest number of wines was selected from the Toscana region with seven wines, followed by the Piedmont region with four wines, and one from the Sicilia volcanic region of Etna.
